Description
7.5 to 8.0 mm. Can be identified by its bronze colour and characteristic pale ‘N’ shaped elytral markings.

Found in rivers, brooks, streams and canals.
When to see it
Most records between March and October.
UK Status
Widespread and frequent in the southern half of Britain, but less well recorded further north.
VC55 Status
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
