A very small bug, 2.5-3.1mm, with a long rostrum.  The pronotum and wings are dull, with fine micro-sculpture at high magnification.  Second antennal segment is dark, and the bug is usually macropterous

Other species of Temnostethus are usually brachypterous, but there are many similar small Anthocoridae bugs 

Detailed examination is needed - provide good quality close up photographs.  This species is unlikely to be verified from a field photo

Unknown. There are very few known records for VC55, but it is likely to be under-recorded due to its small size
