2.5-3.2mm. A small dark brown beetle with pointed lateral angles on its head. The pronotum is darker than the elytra and has hind angles that project giving a slightly concave base, especially at the sides. The antennae are red at the base, darkening towards the tip where the segments also widen. Segment 8 is smaller than its neighbouring segments and wider than it is long.
