A small leafhopper associated with dry grasslands.  There are dark marks on the vertex ('nose') and the forewings are light brown with prominent paler veins and occasionally darker marks in cells.  There are two whitish hyaline triangles on the outer margin of the forewing, near the tip. 

The 3 UK Jassargus species are hard to separate and usually examination of the internal male genitalia is needed.  Female Jassargus pseudocellaris can also be identifed by examination of the 7th abdominal sterneum - the last one before the ovipositor. (Le Quesne, 1969)
