A small dark grey-brown moth associated with Scots Pine. There is a white dorsal mark, two whitish cross-bands, small white marks along the costa and an ocellus wth several dark streaks inside. 

There are several similar Cydia associated with various conifers. 

Obtain good quality images and retain the specimen pending ID confirmation from the CMR. Worn individuals may need dissection to confirm.

Larvae feed under the bark of Scots Pine

Local (Sterling et al, 2023). In the Butterfly Conservation's Microlepidoptera Report 2011 this species was classified as Nationally Scarce B

Scarce in VC55, though likely under-recorded.
