Mid July to early September.

Life History

The larvae are thought to feed within various nuts and acorns.

UK Status

First recorded in Britain is 1990, it was formerly classified as a rare migrant.  However, it now seems to be becoming increasingly established or resident and is expanding its range.

VC55 Status

Previously rare in Leicestershire and Rutland, but 2026 brought a significant increase in records for our area.
