An upright, fast-growing plant, with lance-shaped leaves, reaching a height of 1m. It has large, daisy-like, bright orange-yellow flowerheads with red centres. The flowers are borne on branching stems.

Widespread, but occasional in England usually as an escape from cultivation or seed mixes.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
