A small grey-brown bug covered in pale hairs, usually found on Norway Spruce. The basal (1st) antennal segment is more or less cylindical and the female 2nd antennal segment is strongly thickened, the male less so. 

Tarsal claws are longer and narrower than the very similar A parvulus, and the 2nd (thickened) antennal segment is >1.1x the head width in the female; >1.2x in the male (ref. Nau, draft unpublished key, 2012)

Detailed photos of a specimen are needed, showing the ratio of 2nd (thickened) antennal segment to head width, and you must note the plant on which you found it.  We recommend that you retain a specimen in case expert verification is needed.  

Norway Spruce, but in VC55 has also been found on Scots Pine close to spruce.
