2-2.8mm. All black except for the basal 4 antennal segments and the front legs which are yellow. Tergite 7 lacks patches of pubescence. It has the wrinkled texture of all Anaspis beetles.See the ID checklist below for more details.

• Ant seg 9 longer than broad
• Ant seg 11 1.5x longer than 10
• Ant seg 8-10 widest close to the apex
• Pronotum not transverse
• Elytral pubescence unicoloured
• Mid + hind tibia unicoloured (hind tibia darker than mid)
• Ant seg 3-6 of more or less equal width (widening at 7)
• Tergite 7 without setae

Open grassland such as road verges.

Late May to August (peaking in July).

Reasonably common, particularly in the south.

Uncommon.
