3.8 to 5.0 mm. Usually brassy/bronze but sometimes blueish or greenish. 2nd antennal segment shorter than 3rd. No depression on head between antennae.

Found on Willows and Poplars.

Found mainly in the Summer months.

Both the adults and their larvae feed on the leaves of Willow and Poplar.

Common and widespread throughout Britain.

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were approximately 30 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
