Description
This plant has large, prickly, grey-green arching leaves topped with round, purple, thistle like flowers. It can reach up to 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide.
Habitat
Occasionally found as an escape from cultivation.

Occasional in Britain as an escape from cultivation.
VC55 Status
Uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire.
