Peziza
Peziza - Peziza sp.
Disc or cup-shaped fungi, sometimes flattening and becoming irregular in shape as they mature; usually in shades of brown. Sometimes a short stalk is present; other species are sessile. Over 50 speceis are present in the UK, and identification to species is very difficult, involving micrscopic examination. Spores can be smooth or ornamented.
