The blue star-like flowers on closer inspection have a central white cone made up of wide flat filaments of stamens.

UK Status

Widespread scattering of records across Britain.

VC55 Status

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire, and is not listed in the current Checklist (Jeeves, 2011).
