A small yellow or apricot-coloured club found in grasslands, usually solitary or in small groups. The clubs often have paler tips.  The spores are small, elliptic, and smooth.

Golden Spindles (Clavulinopsis fusiformis) and Yellow Club (Clavulinopsis luteoalba) also have smooth spores.  Microscopic examination is needed to separate them with certainty.
