Wingspan 17 to 23 mm. A very distinctive green and white species.

Occurring in Britain only as an accidental import or vagrant.

The first British specimens were recorded in June and early July.

The larva of this species has been found several times in Okra pods, imported from India.

Rare in Britain – the first adult was recorded at light in Dorset in June 2003. In a recent survey to determine the status of all macro moths in Britain this species was classified as an import.

Rare in Leicestershire and Rutland. The Wigston specimen of 1st July 2006 was believed to be only the second British record. L&R Moth Group status = D (rare or rarely recorded).
