Deceptive Earthtongue - Geoglossum fallax
Fruiting body club-shaped; fertile head, thick, flattened, sometimes grooved, brown to dark-brown, rarely black. Stipe round and coloured like the head and usually scaly. Microscopic examination of spores is needed.
