Golovinomyces cichoracearum is a powdery mildew affecting some plants in the Asteraceae family - e.g daisy, nipplewort, hawkbits, chicory, lettuces, etc.  For a full list of hosts, see Woods et al, 2024. 

Some of the hosts of Golovinomyces cichoracearum are also affected by other species of powdery mildew, such as Podosphaera erigerontis‐canadensis.  Check host carefuly against list in Woods et al, 2024.  For powdery mildews on some host plants, microscopic examination may be needed.

 In previous works, Golovinomyces cichoracearum was considered to affect a very wide range of species of plants in Asteraceae; in more recent studies, the host-list is smaller and new species have been described for e.g. Taraxacum, Sonchus, Senecio and others.
