Length 2 to 3 mm. A small grey/black weevil. The legs have yellow femora but the tibiae are dark.

Found in areas rich in clovers.

Lives on clover.

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 16 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
