Length 8-8.5 mm. A grey/brown nabid which is widespread in dry grassy habitats. This species is always macropterous, the wings extending beyond the end of the abdomen. Densely hairy forewings and the pronotum is considerably wider than it is long.

Adults overwinter, mating and laying eggs in the spring. The new generation of adults is complete from August onwards

Fairly common and widespread in Britain.

Common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
