A crust forming lichen with a thin, continuous or cracked-areolate, white to pale blue-grey thallus, rarely tinged orange.
Habitat
Common on exposed siliceous rocks, pebbles, walls and memorials, rare on worked timber.

All year round.
UK Status
Widespread and common in Britain.

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
