The Charnia Heritage Group (Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves parishes) in conjunction with, NatureSpot, Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust (LRWT), Beacon Hill Country Park and other local groups are holding a Bioblitz on 14th/15th June 2013 (Friday evening to Saturday evening). A Bioblitz is an event where scientists, naturalists and members of the public conduct an intensive wildlife survey over a 24 hour period. The focus of a Bioblitz is placed equally on scientific recording and public engagement. The Bioblitz will be held within the parishes of Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves and an exciting programme of talks and events is planned. We would like to invite you to be involved with this project and help us contribute to increasing scientific knowledge of this beautiful area.
