Description

Phyllocoptes goniothorax is a gall mite which causes leaf roll on the edges of Hawthorn leaves. It may occasionally cause an erineum on the underside

Wherever Hawthorn is present.

When to see it

Summer and autumn whilst Hawthorn is in leaf.

UK Status

Widespread but poorly recorded in Britain.

VC55 Status

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
