The leaf-mine formed by this species is found on the leaves of various plants including Campion. A short linear mine is formed, then a white blotch mine, the linear section sometimes is not visible under the blotch that is formed later. The blotch has a few small black grains of frass.

Provide backlit photos of the whole mine in the leaf and note the host species

On various plants including Red Campion and White Campion.

Leafmines may be found in most months of the year, but mainly between May and November.

Pupation takes place outside of the mine.
