Megalocoleus tanaceti

Description

A small bug associated with Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare).  It is bright yellow or yellow-green in colour, and the dorsal surface is covered with coarse black hairs.  The tibiae have strong black spines, longer than tibial width.

Similar Species

Megalocoleus molliculus is paler, and associated with Yarrow

UK Status

Locally common; widely scatterd. (ref British Bugs website and Heteroptera checklist (2021)
