A genus of small wasps approximately 3mm in length. Very short marginal vien and virtual absence of postmarginal vein. Unmodified basal margin of the large tergite. Males have antennae with 13 or 14 segments, the flagellum is approximately cylindrical and almost always has the second segment modified. The antennae of females have 12 or 13 segments and the flagellum is thickened towards the apex, usually forming a club. Approximately 20 species recorded from the UK.
