Wherever Annual Meadow-grass is found.

Adults fly in at least two generations, with recent records being in May and September.

The larva feeds on Annual Meadow-grass (Poa annua), mining inside the grass blades.

British records are thinly scaterred, mainly in the southern half of Britain.  The species is classified as Nationally Scarce B.

Rare in VC55 (Leicestershire and Rutland) where it was not recorded until 2024.
