Perithous divinator is a Pimpline Ichneumon Wasp with a predominately red thorax with yellow marginal stripes to mesonotum, yellow thin transverse stripes to scutellum and the hind coxae are also red. The abdomen is black with a narrow yellow arch to the propodeum. The head is black with yellow/white inner orbits. The ovipositor in females is aproximately equal in length to the abdomen and ovipositor to hind tibia index ~ 2.5 - 3.2.

Perithous scurra but this has a longer ovipositor

• Tergite 2 lacks longitudinal, median keel
• Ovipositor length aproximately 2.5 - 3.2 times length of hind tibia

Flight period May - September with peak in June
