A small greyish to white fungus found on tree-boles. The cap has a pleated appearance. Gills are white and stipe is translucent and grey-white, with a basal disc attaching it to the substrate.

There are several other very small pale Mycena found on tree boles.

This is a difficult speces to identify with certainty unless it has been microscopically examined from a specimen.  Expert verification prior to submssion to NatureSpot is recommended.  Also photograph from top down, in side view and from underneath to show gills and full length of stipe.  Note habitat and substrate.

On mossy bark of deciduous trees. 

Autumn-winter.

Relatively common but rearely recorded. 

Few records.
