Apterae are small (1.2 - 2.6 mm) and typically yellowish-green with black markings on the thorax and abdomen.  In lightly marked individuals, the abdominal markings form a U shape but this can be obscured in darker specimens.  The antennae are longer than the body and the siphunculi have dark flanges at their tips.

Alates are pale green with more extensive dark markings.

Found on a wide range of plants, particularly in greenhouses.

The species appears to reproduce only by parthenogenesis.

Rarely recorded.

Rare or under-recorded.
