Description

Wing length: 2.6-4mm. As with all Sepsis species, it has a black spot on each wing. Body is glossy black. Femora and the two posterior pairs of tibia are usually yellow.

Usually found around pasture where dung is present.

When to see it

Summer months but hibernating adults can be found.

Life History

Breeds on cow dung mostly.
