A large froghopper (9-11mm) associated with willows and sallows (Salix spp.). The basal third of the forewings are yellowish with an indistinct dark band behind this.

Close examination of the external genitalia of females or dissection of the male will help to confirm identification.  In females, the ovipositor is longer than the anal tube. In males, the outer corner of the style (paramere) is rounded (ref: Biedermann & Niedringhaus 2009).
