A small orange-red bug found on Ash.  The upperside is covered in hairs, some of which are pale and scale-like.  The antennae are pale, the hind femora are pale with black spots, and the hind tibiae have black spines arising from dark spots. The rostrum is short. 

Psallus are a very difficult groups of bugs, and microscopic examination/dissection of male genitalia is usually needed
