Description

Wing length 7-9mm. This medium-sized cranefly is broadly brown with faintly marked wings. There is brown mark over the stigma and usually a dark spot at the base of vein Rs, plus some darkening of the straight veins passing through the discal cell. There are dark stripes on the top of the thorax but these may be obscured by dusting.
