Length 3-3.6mm. Wing membrane usually strongly suffused brownish, with broad clear grey-white bands along veins; length of membrane posterior to embolium at least two-thirds length of embolium. Male paramere is distinctive (requires dissestion). 

Acompocoris pygmaeus (length 2.9-3.5mm, wing membrane more or less uniformly pale greyish, often with a more or less general brownish suffusion near base; membrane relatively short, length of membrane posterior to tip of embolium less than two-thirds length of embolium.)

Found on a range of conifers (A. pygmaeus is believed to be restricted to Scots Pine). Feeds on aphids.
