Brown or blackish ground colour. Antennae about as long as the head and pronotum, brownish, ant2 broadly ferruginous in the middle. Hemelytra elongated with parallel edges; dull above except on outer edge of exocoria and outer half of cuneus, which are shiny.  Legs brown or ferruginous, tibiae paler, more or less darkened at the extremities, the last segment of the tarsi darkened.  Paramere with a strong and acute anteapical tooth.

Found on a large number of deciduous trees.

Fairly common and widespread in Britain.

Under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland probably due to identification difficulty.
