Length 3 to 4 mm. A parallel-sided grey-green species, characterised by a dense covering of coarse, dark hairs on the forewings and a distinctive wing membrane pattern with an irregular black mark at apex of membrane cells. The tibial spines are fine and inconspicuous. Basal antennal segment is dark and mainly black except base & apex.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
