E. myrsinites is an evergreen plant with trailing leafy stems to 35cm in length. Leaves slightly fleshy and scale-like, glaucous grey-green and pointed; flowers yellow green, in terminal clusters 10cm in width.

Nearly always found as an escape from cultivation and often close to habitation.

Flowering May-June.

Evergreen perennial.

Infrequently recorded in the wild in Britain usually as an escape from cultivation.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
