The coral pink or pale orange cushions found on twigs and bark are the asexual stage, producing conidiospores.  They usually have either a short stem or are constricted at the base where they emerge from the substrate.  Later, the sexual stage forms, looking like dark-red raspberries.  The finely warty, bumpy surface is due to the spore-producing perithecia inside the fruit body.

Widespread and common in Britain.

Common in Leicestershire and Rutland.

This may be a complex of closely related species (re. Laessoe & Petersen 2019)
