Similar in appearance to Ptychoptera contaminata but can be identified with care from the wing markings.

Habitat
Likes areas with small streams, including woodland streams.
When to see it
Adults are primarily found from May to July (peaking in June) in the U.K but have been recorded as late as September.
UK Status
Widely distributed in England and Wales, becoming less frequent in Scotland.
