5 to 6 mm. Markings variable but colour predominantly green, pronotum often rose-tinged in the posterior half.

Other Lygus species.

Pubescence on middle of corium sparse; lateral spacing of the hairs generally greater than hair length. Punctures on middle of corium widely spaced, separated by much more than their diameter.

Microscopic examination of key features needed. 

Found in sandy and heath areas, feeds on a range of foodplants, in particular mayweeds. 

All year.

Typically costal but also sandy areas inland. 

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
