A small pale grey Mycena with a sticky cap covered with a gelatinous skin hat can be peeled away.   It may have a few small central spines.  The fragile stem arises from a basal disc which has a fringed margin. 

Several other small whitish Mycena arise from a basal disc.

This is a difficult species, and we recommend that it is verified by an expert from a specimen before submission to Naturespot.  Close or microscopic examination may be needed.  Also photograph from top down, in side view and underneath to show gills; note habitat and substrate.
