Description
A large leafhopper (5-7mm.) The forewings ae mottled brown and white/greyish and the vertex has a central dark mark, which is variable in shape.

Habitat
In grassy places and wayside vegetation, often in woods.
When to see it
Summer-Autumn.
UK Status
Common - Reasonably common and widespread in England but never abundant. (ref. UK Auchenorrhyncha checklist 2021 on British Bugs website)
VC55 Status
Uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland.
