A very variable species found on willows, ranging from yellowish to orange to dark-brown, often with a darker marking on the corium creating a U shape. Tibial spines arise from small black spots, and the femora are usually reddish. The antennae are short. 

Careful examination of the specimen is needed, with a series of good field or specimen photos.  You must note the plant species on which you found it.

Uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland.
