Ammi majus is tall, branching plant with 2 to 3-pinnate leaves and large compound umbels of small white flowers.

Habitat

Found in parkland and neglected gardens, on spoil-tips and roadsides. It is a wool-shoddy or bird-seed alien which is usually casual.

Annual.

UK Status

Widespread but occasional casual, mainly occurring in the southern half of Britain.

VC55 Status

Rarely recorded as a casual in Leicestershire and Rutland.
