Description
A distinctive slow moving orange springtail, approximately 2 mm long. Long setae on the body and two ocelli on each side of the head.
Habitat
Leaf litter and rotting wood.
When to see it
All year, primarily autumn-spring.
UK Status
Quite common in the south of England but under recorded.
VC55 Status
Rare or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
