Description
A capped pale grey to darker purplish-grey corticoid, with margins that loosen and turn back to show a black cap surface The fertile surface has a knobbly surface and sometimes cracks.

Attached branches of deciduous trees, mainly Oak

All year round.

Seems to be widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
