Description
This medium sized beetle (7-9mm) has a dark brown body and pale legs and antennae. The pronotum is strongly sinuate with sharp points at the hind angles.

Found in sparsely vegetated habitats on all soil types.

It is widespread in England
VC55 Status
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 43 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
